Railotech is the home of Finnish icebreaker knowhow. We are the only company in the world that focuses solely on ship engineering services for harsh Arctic sea conditions.
Railo Technology offers advisory services for ship and fleet owners; engineering and testing services to design, build, and convert ships; and specialised solutions for operating vessels in ice covered waters. Our history began in the 1960’s, when the first model test basin was built in Finland. Since then, we and our predecessors have created tested concepts for dozens of icebreaking and ice capable ships. We have designed the vast majority of the world’s icebreaking fleet and supported many more vessels with our engineering and testing services.
